University of Sheffield studying driver behaviour in newly qualified motorists

Monday, June 5, 2017

The University of Sheffield are studying driving behaviour in young newly qualified drivers, gathering information that can help suggest improvements for driver training.

The university have teamed up with the Driving Instructors Association to create a survey for new drivers, aged 21 and under, who have passed their test in the last 6 months.

The survey will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete, and asks about the person’s driving experience, attitudes to driving, as well as a little on their background. All responses will be confidential and no identifying information will be reported in the results.

The results of the survey will be available to other researchers in the future but they will be anonymous.
