Chelmsford re-opens for tests

Monday, February 22, 2016

Chelmsford test centre has re-opened for tests from this morning (Monday 22.02.2015).

Chelmsford learners were locked out of their test centre last Wednesday (17.02.2016) after bailiffs apparently closed the doors on Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) staff.

Test candidates in Chelmsford were forced to move test venues after DVSA staff were not able to enter the site and the circumstances why remain unclear according to an Essex Chronicle report.

Some practical tests were still carried in Chelmsford before tests were moved to Basildon for the remainder of last week.

In a statement, the DVSA said: "We have resolved the temporary issue with Chelmsford tests centre. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused."
