The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) faces possible strike action from its examiners.
The agency will find out this week whether DVSA examiners have voted for strike action in a dispute over new contracts.
The official count will be held on Wednesday 11 November and although intentions are not yet known, examiner union the PCS said it had got an “outstanding result” in an indicative electronic ballot held in October.
In a note to members, the union said its advice on contracts had been consistent: “Sign nothing and agree to nothing, verbally or in writing. Agree to No variation.”
If members vote in favour of industrial action then DVSA will be given seven days notice of any action.
