Bus, lorry and car+trailer tests will be available from Stone Fire Station in Staffordshire from November 2015.
Tests will be available from Stone Community Fire Station two days a week and will be available to book from Monday 12 October with testing starting on 2 November.
Driver CPC module 4, and categories C, D and B+E tests will be available from this site but not C+E tests.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) said it would continue to offer bus, lorry and car+trailer tests from the existing Featherstone site.
DVSA’s head of operations Phil Lloyd, said: “We are pleased to be working with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service to offer a more local service for vocational testing.
“This is a great example of how we can work with partners in the public and private sector to provide a service that is convenient as well as being cost effective.”
DVSA is holding an open evening for trainers at Stone Fire Station on Thursday 15 October 2015 between 6.00pm and 8.00pm to view the new site and meet with the examiners:
