DVLA faces disruption from industrial action

Wednesday, August 26, 2015

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) could face disruption after the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) Union called on contact centre members to take part in industrial action on 28 August, 29 August and Tuesday 1 September 2015.

The DVLA warned that as a result, it was possible that agency’s contact centre might offer a reduced service and longer waiting times when contacting by phone or social media.

The agency apologised “for any inconvenience that this may cause” and noted that the public could still tax their vehicle, make a SORN or apply for a driving licence online or by phone on 0300 1234 321.

Alternatively,  there are 4,700 Post Office branches across Great Britain and Northern Ireland that deal with vehicle tax while driver licensing services are also available at 750 Post Office branches across Great Britain.
