Dr. Lisa Dorn

Dr Lisa Dorn graduated with a BSc in Human Psychology and was awarded a PhD in Individual and Group Difference in Driving Behaviour from Aston University in 1992. She was appointed Director of the Driving Research Group at Cranfield University and is a Reader in Driver Behaviour and Training. Lisa is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a member of the Association of Applied Psychologists and has authored and co-authored many academic publications. She is also Research Director for a2om.

Dr. Will Murray

Dr. Will Murray is Research Director for Interactive Driving Systems specialising in researching, developing and implementing work-related road safety solutions for clients around the world. More details about this work can be seen at www.virtualriskmanager.net

Edmund King

Edmund King is President of the AA and is often seen and heard in the media championing the interests of responsible motorists. He has also worked in PR, journalism, the Civil Service and various campaigning and communication roles.

Ian Edwards

Ian Edwards has worked in the field of driver education since 1988, initially as a driving instructor before moving into local government road safety.  Ian holds an MSc in Social Research and Evaluation, and a Diploma in Traffic Accident and Safety Management.  Ian is the Director of eDriving Solutions.

Jackie Violet

Jackie Violet became an ADI in 1983 and has worked for a national school as well as owning her own. She later specialised in disabled tuition. Jackie started writing for Driving School News now known as adiNEWS, in 1992 and has been elected into the Southern Group of Motoring Writers based on her achievements as a motoring journalist.

Jane Clarke

Jane Clarke is a qualified Grade 6 Instructor, Class 1 Police Driver and DSA Ex-Examiner for both L-test and ADI candidates. She has passed the RoSPA test (Gold Standard), DIAmond advanced test, Cardington special test, BTEC Level 3 in Teaching Advanced Driving and NVQ A1 Assessors Award.

Lynne Barry

LLynne is Chairman of the ADINJC, holds a masters’ degree in driver training and is the author of several books for ADIs. Learn more about her at www.lynnebarrie.co.uk.

Mac McDade

Mac McDade is a former ADI with over 20 years experience in the training industry. He is an advocate for road safety, has passed the Cardington Special Driving Test and is a Director of Ideas4ADIs Ltd.

Mark Cornford

Mark became an ADI in 1991, but soon after starting work as a franchised ADI, he was recruited into ADI Training and has been involved in this sector up to the present time. He also spent 4 years with the DSA as an examiner, but is now a Training Field Manager with RED Instructor Training.

Mark Smith

Mark Smith has worked for over 30 years in the retail and service industries, and for the past 10 years within the driver training sector with one of the country's leading driving schools. He now runs his own business ADIsupport

Paul Caddick

Paul has worked as a freelance writer, researcher and journalist since graduating with a degree in Politics, Religion and Philosophy in 1992. Prior to joining adiNEWS in 2002, he worked principally for the Directory of Social Change in the voluntary sector, and as a broadcaster and producer for BBC1, Radio4, Five Live, The World Service and local radio.

Roger Ison

Roger Ison is Group Operations Director at Acclaim Driving School. Originating from a retail management background where he was an Area Manager, he spent twenty years at BSM, leaving in 2009, by which time he was the Recruitment and Retention Director. Roger is currently leading the Acclaim national expansion programme.

Simon Clarke is a Chartered Accountant and Head of FBTC specialising in tax and accountancy services to driving instructors.

Stuart Walker

Stuart Walker is Instructor Training Development Manager for RED. Having qualified in 1990, he ran his own business for ten years before joining The Instructor College as an ADI trainer and eventually became Head of Instructor Training. He is both ORDIT and Fleet registered, and represents RED on the DSA MDT Steering Committee and Working Group, the ADI NJC council and is an Industry Board Member for GoSkills.

Susan McCormack

Sue McCormack is a consultant in the driver training industry, which she has been a part of for nearly 25 years, teaching learner drivers, trainee driving instructors and fleet drivers, as well as writing courses and training materials. She has just completed an MSc in Driver Behaviour and Education.

John Farlam

John Farlam is part of the Tri-Coaching Partnership (with Sue McCormack and Graham Hooper) delivering the BTEC Professional Award in Coaching for Driver Development. Barry Kenward

Barry Kenward is a working ADI, Fleet trained Driver Educationalist and a retired Class I Traffic Officer. He holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Driver Education and is currently waiting for the results of his Masters Degree in Driver Education.
