He survived his ten siblings, the Second World War and being an air gunner, a sometime impetuous mother-in-law, an eventful and some might say foolhardy road trip to Australia and back, 47 years as a driving instructor, but little did he know he would be sunk by a previously unexploded and unknown device from the DSA.Still, at the fighting age of 86, I think Eric Edis is unlikely to be sitting around with nothing to do.
